Valentines Day Gifts part2

Sorry for not putting this up sooner, but I sick for a couple days, and I have been so busy getting prepared for the move, my brain is on overload!

So, here another gift edition, leaning towards the men. So, what do we get our wonderful significant others? Usually, men are pretty easy to please. Now a great gift is going to surround what your boyfriend is into. But, generally speaking guys are usually into electronics. So, you really can't go wrong with that.


My first recommendation is going to be for the gamer! As a girlfriend I am sure you've felt a little competition with your boyfriends Xbox, or PS3. All it takes a is a little COD, or Black Ops to make you totally invisible. When you complained, did he offer to let you play? If you're not a gamer chick, you probably didn't like that suggestion to much. Well, I would definitely recommend getting the Kinect. It's not like any other system you've used before. You don't need controllers, it's not comparable to the WII, or the Playstation Move! It's absolutely awesome!
I've never been amazed with a gaming device before until this. I mean, there's dancing games, workout games, and games for the kids. If you're one of those people who likes to get up and move, you will enjoy this thing! I'm sure you've seen the commercials, and if you haven't.. Here you go!

So, here's what the kinect looks like, and that's all you need. They're around $150.00 and they usually come with a game, the game is pretty awesome. as well.


So onto another gift idea.

Apple Ipad

These are definitely the most talked about gadget of 2011 thus far! I personally do not own one, but have heard wonderful reviews. It's amazing where technology has gone.

Since the release of the Ipad, obviously many competitive electronic companies have start their quest to out the IPAD.

If you're a sprint customer, the Samsung Galaxy Tablet is currently priced at $300.00.



Now this Tablet offers a camera, which is not offered by the Apple Ipad. One huge difference in the who, is that the Tab offers Flash Player, where as the Ipad doesn't. (Not yet anyway).


So... Moving forward.

There's always the generic gifts you can give. Cologne, Wallets, Watches, ties, and underwear (What man doesn't need underwear.)

But, you can do things like, Upgrade your boyfriends phone. Buy him those shoes he's been talking about. You could upgrade his DVD player to Blu Ray, if he hasn't done so already. For car lovers, you can purchase detailed car cleanings, or purchase upgrades for their car.

The best part about gifts, is you can make it your own. You can do WHATEVER you want. And as long as you're being selfless, and genuine, your significant other is going to appreciate it. Whether it's making him a wonderful dinner, and dressing up in some lingerie, or booking a cruise they're going to love you no matter what.

Nooks and Kindles?

Is your girlfriend the kind who reminds you of Belle, from Beauty and the Beast? She would love to have a library, and randomly the entire town sings about how her nose is constantly in a book?

Okay, Okay.. Maybe we're being a tad over dramatic. BUT, if you do live with a girlfriend who has TONS of books, and the collection keeps growing then technology is definitely your friend.

I am sure you've seen The Kindle, and The Nook. But those can be kind of pricey. For a short time, Bed Bath & Beyond is having a wonderful sale. They're E-Reader is currently priced at $39.99.

Spring is just around the corner. Thank Goodness! I am getting over these freak snow storms, and cold weather. I am so ready for warmer weather. I can't wait to get some color in the plants. With Spring comes showers, flowers, and Shoes! Come on, what girl DOESN'T love shoes? I have to admit, my favorite shoes are wedges. Luckily, Spring is the time of year when I can bust those bad boys out. They're so easy to slip on, and and much more kid friendly since I have a toddler to chase around.

Another thing about summer is the opportunity to wear beautiful and bright colors. Now, nude colors work wonderful in the spring when you're wear shorts dresses/skirts/shorts. Last Minute NYE party dress distress?

Are you a procrastinator? Like myself, who waited till just now to write this blog, I can definitely say I RELATE! I know what its like running around like a chicken with its head cut off, because you've waited till the last minute (yet again......) to pick out the PERFECT NYE dress (or anything else for that matter).

One of the best things about shopping is, it's now so much easier to do! Although it is definitely too late to order anything on line, you can certain check to see if those items are still available at the store.

So where do you start?

Well, what kind of dress are you looking for? Long, short, super short? Maybe something a little more conservative if you're going to an office party? Forever 21 is one of my favorite stores to shop at! It has a wide selection of beautiful, and AFFORDABLE dresses.

The reason why I bring up affordability is, well, lets face it... NYE is a night for drinking and staying up waayyyyy past your bed time. So with a combination of Drunk, and tired people you may find yourself with a drink spill on your hands. Although Dry cleaning is a life saver, I would rather lose out on $30.00 than $300.00. So, unless you've just got that kind of money, I would opt for something a little more budget friendly.

So, with that being said. Let's throw out some new years eve options, but I will admit... I am partial LBD's. I don't know why, that's just who I am. So, I had to force myself to throw in some color as well.

Glass Half Full.

Christmas is next week! Can you believe it? I know I can't. This year has gone by extraordinarily fast. Hopefully next year will go by a little slower.

So with it being the holiday season, that means New Years is right around the corner. With New Years always comes the infamous "New Years Resolutions." So I am going to blog a little about that. By all means, don't wait for New Years to start implementing this information if you don't already. But for some, it's not easy change that is made. So, here I go...


Being a human being everyone knows what it feels like to be criticized. For EVERYTHING. Sometimes, we are our own worst critics.. And it should stay that way. What I mean by that is, how many times have you looked at someone, and said something like.. "If their nose got any bigger they would be Pinocchios twin." Don't you think that person doesn't already KNOW they may have a larger nose? Or if they're over weight? Or a have lazy eye? Or big ears? I mean, we know every little detail of imperfection about ourselves... Am I right? Don't you ever look in the mirror and think some like, "Oh Great! There's another dimple on my thigh." or " If this gap in my teeth gets any wider I am going to be mistaken for a field goal." Do you feel like that's all people stare at? Doesn't it make you self conscious?

Do you realize you probably look at people all the time, and immediately think about the negative things? Even when we look at beautiful people, it's so easy to find the negative and tear them down..

Instead of being so negative and thinking negative thoughts. Why don't we all try a little harder to be positive. There's something beautiful in everyone! I don't care who you are.

It should be programmed into our brains that when we think something negative, we immediately replace it with something positive. Doesn't everyone like a compliment? So instead of whispering to Peter, Paul and Mary about Janes snaggle tooth, why don't you tell Jane how beautiful her complection is? Or, how gorgeous her Hair is? It may not always be a compliment about appearance. How great would it feel to hear from someone that Mary said you were kind, and caring. Instead of hearing rumors and lies?

This world would be such a better place if people would quite saying such negative things, and focus on the positive.

I personally am trying to implement my own advice into my daily routine. I want to try and be a better person. I am a firm believer that if you think positive thoughts, Positive things will begin to surround you.
